Update on Project MiMaS

We’re pleased to be sharing an update on our involvement in Project MiMaS, an Innovate UK-funded collaboration focused on advancing sodium-based batteries for grid-scale energy storage.

Working alongside M-Spin Ltd and CPI, the project is exploring how advanced microfibrous metal materials can improve the performance and predictability of sodium metal chloride batteries, while validating scalable and sustainable routes to manufacturing and recycling.

As renewable generation continues to grow, affordable, safe and sustainable energy storage will be critical to accelerating the transition to net zero.

Through Project MiMaS, we are helping to unlock the potential of next-generation sodium battery technology for stationary energy storage.
